CFSC Successfully Completes its 2012 Audit

California Fire Safe Council Board Members accepted the 2012 Audit at their December 2012 board meeting. This independent audit which is conducted every year by a private auditing firm includes the A-133 component for those organizations spending federal grant funds in excess of $500,000 during their fiscal year. No material weaknesses ,no audit findings were found by the auditors and they also noted that there were no adjustments made to the accounting records which is rare in such an extensive audit. They also advised the Board that their auditing opinion was an unqualified one and remarked that the organization operated on a “very lean budget” California Fire Safe Council has been classed as a “low-risk entity”, for the past several years.
