METRO FIRE INVITES YOU TO ATTEND A COMMUNITY WORKSHOP

 

“ASSESSING RESIDENTIAL WILDFIRE HAZARDS” – 1 DAY WORKSHOPS

The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District (Metro Fire) is in the process of creating a Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP).  Through a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grant, Metro Fire will be hosting a series of workshops open to the public that will be attended by Fire District personnel and taught by National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) instructors.

These interactive workshop designed to teach individuals how to conduct a comprehensive assessment of homes and property, and suggest mitigation efforts to help reduce the risks associated with wildland fires. The program, is administered and sponsored by NFPA’s Wildland Fire Operations Division, was recently updated and revised. It is the only wildfire hazard assessment training nationally recognized by agencies, professionals and organizations.

Registration is required, as space is limited.
